Indigo
Lady
"[INDIGO LADY] has a quality of daring, of leaping from rock
to rock in dangerous waters. This is a solo play that's not performance
art...At 20, Indigo murders her husband, Russell, when he tells her
of his long-term mistress and three children in the next town. To hide
the evidence, she sugar-cures Russell and feeds him to a handsome detective,
Donald, who sexually frustrates her as much as she frustrates the timid
minister, Bruce, who is saving himself for Indigo...This cast of characters
is always gritty and funny." The show was originally directed by Vincent Brown. |
