"[INDIGO LADY] has a quality of daring, of leaping from rock to rock in dangerous waters. This is a solo play that's not performance art...At 20, Indigo murders her husband, Russell, when he tells her of his long-term mistress and three children in the next town. To hide the evidence, she sugar-cures Russell and feeds him to a handsome detective, Donald, who sexually frustrates her as much as she frustrates the timid minister, Bruce, who is saving himself for Indigo...This cast of characters is always gritty and funny."
--Judith Green, Mercury News Theater Writer (1993)

The show was originally directed by Vincent Brown.
